Many people who lead proper lives in all other ways remain poor because of their lack of gratitude. Although they received a gift from God, they cut the wires which connect them to Him by not showing gratitude for the gift.

It is easy to understand that the closer we live to the source of wealth, the more wealth we will receive. It is also easy to understand that the soul which is always grateful lives closer to God than the one which never gives thanks.

The more grateful we behave toward the Supreme Being when good things happen to us, the more good things we will receive, and the more rapidly they will come. The simple reason is that an attitude of gratitude brings the mind closer to the source of the blessings.
